Tim Wimbley struck out 10 batters as the righty led Hartford Varsity Huskies past Lawrence Varsity Tigers 9-2 on Thursday. Tim Wimbley gave up five hits and two runs over seven innings while walking one.
Hartford Varsity Huskies collected nine hits in the game. Eathan Kazarian, the number eight hitter for Hartford Varsity Huskies, led the way with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Ryan Huminsky, EathanKazarian, and Wimbley each collected two hits for Hartford Varsity Huskies. Tim Wimbley, Mason Whitman, Calvin Wimbley, and Drake Sikes each stole multiple bases for Hartford Varsity Huskies. Hartford Varsity Huskies stole 11 bases in the game.
Hartford Varsity Huskies Breeze Past Lawrence Varsity Tigers in Game 2
Hartford Varsity Huskies easily dispatched Lawrence Varsity Tigers on Thursday, 12-2.
Hartford Varsity Huskies captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first after Tim Wimbley doubled to left field, Jose Perales singled down the left field line, and Eathan Kazarian grounded out, each scoring one run.
Hartford Varsity Huskies scored five runs on six hits in the bottom of the second inning. Aiden Sleeuwenhoek singled, scoring one run, Tim Wimbley singled, scoring one run, a steal of home scored one run, Ryan Huminsky doubled, scoring one run, and Elliott Spangler singled, scoring one run.
Hartford Varsity Huskies added one run in the third. Jose Perales lined out, making the score 9-2.
Calvin Wimbley earned the win for Hartford Varsity Huskies. The starter surrendered zero hits and two runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking one.
Hartford Varsity Huskies accumulated 13 hits in the game. Jose Perales, Ryan Huminsky, Eathan Kazarian, Elliott Spangler, and Tim Wimbley each collected two hits for Hartford Varsity Huskies. Elliott Spangler and Tim Wimbley each drove in two runs for Hartford Varsity Huskies. Aiden Sleeuwenhoek, Tim Wimbley, and Jameson Littlefield each stole multiple bases for Hartford Varsity Huskies.
Hartford Varsity Huskies ran wild on the base paths, amassing 14 stolen bases for the game. Hartford Varsity Huskies were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Elliott Spangler had the most chances in the field with nine.

For the first time in recent history, our high school Quiz Bowl team qualified for the state meet! This milestone is a testament to the team’s hard work, dedication, and passion for learning.
Traveling to Michigan State University on Saturday April 18th was Uriel Moreno-Aguilar, Jose Perales, Victoria Romero-Cordoso, Ava Mireles, Aubrey Ackerman, Melody Bennett, Weston Pitcher, and Aiden McDonald.

Bids must be mailed or delivered in person.  Bids must be marked “Renovate High School Grounds & Practice Soccer Field” on the face of the envelope and be addressed to: INVITATION TO BID April 15, 2026 Hartford public schools 115 School Street Hartford, MI 49057 Phone: 269-621-7002 Hartford Public Schools  Stephanie Walker, Finance Director  115 School Street  Hartford, MI 49057 Bids must comply with the listed specifications. Renovate High School Grounds & Practice Soccer Field  SCOPE OF WORK  Leveling ground by our high jump pit and spreading 4” of topsoil. Prep for hydroseed. Hydroseed to be performed by other. Practice soccer field: Removal of tree in NE corner. Crowning playing surface with up to 3” of topsoil and prep for hydroseed to be performed by other.  INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS  All bidders shall quote in conformance with exact conditions and specifications outlined in this document.   BONDING  A bid bond in the amount of 5% of your bid must be provided with your bid. Bonds for all unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon award of bid. A performance and labor bond may be required by owner. Please list your cost for PLM bond separately on the bid sheet. Do not include cost in your base bid.  VISITATION TO THE SITE  The contractor shall field measure carefully and check all areas on the prints furnished for other conditions to ensure proper fit in all areas designated. No request for installation extras will be considered due to measurement or take-off errors by the installation contractor. When visiting the site contractors shall make an appointment with the Superintendent, Nick Blackmer 269-621-7001 between the hours of 9:00 to 2:00.    CLEAN UP  After completion of Renovate High School Grounds & Practice Soccer Field installation, the installation contractor shall remove all scraps, packaging, and rubbish caused by his/her work.  GUARANTEE  Installation contractor shall guarantee all workmanship and materials furnished against defects for a period of one year from date of final payment and shall make any adjustments and replace defective work without additional cost.  DAMAGE TO THE BUILDING   The successful bidder shall be responsible for any damage to the building by his workers while performing the work indicated in this specification.
