November: no district assessments scheduled. December: semester exams for grades 9–12, December 14–18; NWEA for grades K–8, November 30–December 11. January: NWEA for grades 9–12, January 6–22; WIDA for identified students, January 25–April 2. February and March: no district assessments scheduled. April: M-STEP for grades 3–5, April 5–30; M-STEP and PSAT 8 for grades 6–8, April 6–15; M-STEP 11, PSAT 9, PSAT 10 and SAT testing for grades 9–12, April 5–30. 🚌 School Bus Safety Tips for Michigan Drivers

As the school year gets underway, here are a few important reminders for Michigan drivers:

• Stop at least 20 feet from a school bus when its red lights are flashing.
• Never pass a stopped school bus with flashing red lights.
• Slow down and watch for reduced speed limits in school zones before and after school.
• Remember that many school buses are equipped with stop-arm cameras.
