9th Emma Glover, nominated by Mrs. Tejchma: Emma is always helpful, polite and respectful in class. Always smiling too. Thank you for having a positive vibe Emma!
10th Kamryn Johnson & 11th Rodrigo Morales: On March 13, three juveniles set a construction trailer on fire in Hartford. Rigo and Kamryn were nearby and saw the individuals running from the trailer. They grabbed fire extinguishers and extinguished the fire. Due to their actions, Van Buren County Sheriff Department made Kamryn and Rigo Honorary Sheriff's Deputies.
12th Gabe Shulaw, nominated by Miss Mireles: Miss Mireles mistakenly left out a beautiful & important message Gabe wanted to give for senior night. Gabe did not make it a huge deal or throw a fit about it. Thanks for being so understanding Gabe!

Rigo y Kamryn estaban cerca y vieron a los individuos huyendo del remolque. Tomaron extintores y extinguieron el fuego. Debido a sus acciones, el Departamento del Sheriff del Condado de Van Buren nombró a Kamryn y Rigo Agentes Honorarios del Sheriff.

11th Graders Tour Ferris
Once again, our students were able to do some college exploration, thanks to WMU’s GEAR UP program. On March 21st, a group of juniors took a charter bus to Ferris State University in Big Rapids. After a presentation by the Admissions representative, students toured campus and learned about the great programs Ferris has to offer. Before leaving campus, students enjoyed a delicious lunch at The Rock Café. On a side note, it was great to see 2024 HHS graduates Mauritza Cruz and Erin Glover, who are completing their freshman year at Ferris!
