 The Girls PowderPuff FB game scheduled for tonight has been CANCELLED due to weather.


Entry packets are still available for the Miss Hartford, Mr. Hartford and Miss Teen Hartford contests.  If you are interested in entering any of these events that you would qualify for, please pick up a packet in the office.  The deadline for all entrants to apply is this Sunday, October 8th.


The Varsity Volleyball team fell to the Rangers of Cassopolis in three games.   Jessica Cortes brought  her senior leadership skills to the floor leading in aces with 3, assists with 6 and 40 digs.  Megan Nelson had 5 kills, 1 block and 29 digs.   Mikenzie Chambers had 1 ace and 3 kills. AJ Jackson had 3 blocks, 2 kills and 1 ace. Cora Wesaw and Brynn Duffy each contributed 2 kills. The Lady Indians are now 1-6 in the southwest 10 conference and overall record of 14-17.  Support the volleyball program Thursday night at home against Centerville.


Yesterday the Junior Varsity Lady Indians dropped two games to Cassopolis 12-25 and 23-25.  Mary Pultz was a key element contributing 5 aces, 6 kills, 2 assists and 23 digs. Lainey Goodson had 2 kills and 29 digs. Defensively Ariah Jordan added 17 digs and Mercedes Requenes had 10 digs.  Foreign Exchange student Lena Baumgartner made her season debut playing a great game at the net making her presence known. The Ladies are now 4-3 in Southwest 10 play.  Come see us at home Thursday against Centreville. Go Green!!


The Van Buren Tech Center is hosting their annual College Day Event next Tuesday, October 10 from 11-12PM. There will be over 60 colleges, the various military branches, and vocational trades programs represented at this event. Any juniors and seniors who are not already students at the tech center may sign up to go on this trip in the guidance office. You must sign up by next Friday October 6 in order to attend. Students who go to the tech center will already have the opportunity to go to the fair during their classes at the tech center so please do not sign up for this trip.


 Attention all afternoon Tech Center students:   You will be released early from TC classes on Friday to return for the pep assembly.  The time of class dismissal there will be 1:42 and the bus will leave promptly at 1:45.  Don’t be late to the bus!


Tomorrow’s Homecoming Spirit Day is:   Theme Day – dress to your class theme

And Friday’s is:  Green & White Day

Show your school spirit and dress up accordingly!
